Pi Network has set a March 1 deadline for node operators to complete essential protocol upgrades, warning that non-compliant nodes will be disconnected from the network. The upgrade mandates the use of desktop or laptop hardware, phasing out mobile support as the project further integrates its Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP) framework.

Concurrently, the Pi token has experienced significant volatility, briefly exceeding $0.20 before falling below $0.16 during recent broader market fluctuations. The cryptocurrency is currently trading around $0.17, highlighting the price sensitivity typical of emerging blockchain projects during major infrastructure transitions.
